Guided Simulated Mine Tours
The museum's experienced and knowledgeable guides will escort you on a fascinating and informative 40-45 minute tour of our simulated underground level of a gold mine - the only comprehensive look at both early-day and modern underground mining to be found in the Black Hills. This realistic exhibit was created by more than 140 miners and former mine employees.Tours are approximately 40 minutes long and start every half hour beginning at 10:30 AM. The last tour of the day will begin at 4:30 PM. There is no tour at noon.
Reservations are not necessary, however guests may call in advance to confirm times.
Gold Panning
Gold panning is $6 per person and gold is guaranteed.
